Alison Williams invited by BSi

Alison Williams has been invited by BSi to be a member of the review panel for a standard for reducing the environmental aspects of Direct Marketing. She will be looking at how Field Marketing in particular can embrace current and future challenges and seek environmental solutions.

Meanwhile at FDS House and in the field we are meticulous about recycling and we are constantly on the look out for processes we can implement that aid the environment. This includes a move to more of our new starter information and field briefings being distributed electronically, and a recycling project for our plastic as well as paper waste.

Danone Waters UK win Danone Sales award


Danone Waters UK have won the Danone Sales Award in the Best Practice category for the implementation and delivery of the DRIP project where they were up against entries from across Danone's sales functions worldwide.

FDS in the UK conducts the Danone Retail Implementation Programme (DRIP) project that won this award. For this project in 2007 there were 39 Field Sales Executives and 4 Managers who were tasked with delivering significant increases in sales.

During the year 20.1 million litres of incremental sales of water were delivered, a significant volume, that carried significant revenue gains too.

The award was for Best Practice, so not only were the results excellent, the implementation of the scheme was so good that it merited this internal Danone award.
