Mystery Shopping
Mystery shoppers visit businesses posing as members of the public and provide detailed evaluations of their experience.
Mystery shopping is used to check:
- Service e.g. in a store, restaurant, bank - where a trained person is delivering the service to a consumer
- Quality e.g. quality of information given by someone serving a consumer, quality of product - food, drink, selling technical products
In depth reports made by a highly skilled independent mystery shopper will:
- measure the service and quality
- highlight areas for further training
- praise elements where success has been shown
Mystery shopping is used in a wide variety of sectors including: retail, restaurants, financial institutions, convenience stores, service providers, manufacturers, department stores, travel and entertainment.
