In 2004 IGD’s ECR group commissioned FDS to carry out a quarterly industry availability survey in the multiple Grocery sector. In 2005 this was expanded to the C-sector. The survey looks at the availability of the ‘typical shopping basket’ across consistent buying periods and provides critical data for publication to retailers, suppliers and the media. Survey results provide the industry bench mark on availability.
